“Shramik Special” trains have been operationalised by Indian Railways
from various states across the country to transport more than 23.5 lakh
migrants to their home state.
Till Wednesday, a record 205 “Shramik Special” trains have been
operationalised from various states across the country, an official release
here said.
These 1,773 trains originated from various states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar,
Chandigarh UT, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand,
Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Puducherry UT, Punjab,
Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
Also, these special trains terminated in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam,
Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand,
Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland,
Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand,
and West Bengal.
Proper screening of passengers is being ensured by the Railways before
paassengers are allowed to board the train. During the journey, passengers are
