CBI arrests one person for impersonation of misusing PMO letter head

New Delhi,(thestates.news) : The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Surendra Mittal (Private person) in an on-going investigation of a case. A case was registered on 27 Feb. last on a complaint received from office of the Prime Minister.

It was alleged that a purported letter dated 27.11.2017 was shown as issued on PMO letterhead under the signature of a Joint Secretary in PMO, as addressed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra to favour M/s Villayati Ram Mittal, Navi Mumbai in connection with the development of Plot bearing CTS No. 418 (pt.), Ghausia Compound, Bandra (East), Mumbai. 

It was further alleged that the local authorities were biased and helping some other developers. It was further alleged that the Secretary, Bandra East Ghausia Compound CHS Ltd., Bandra (E), Mumbai has submitted application dated 11.12.2017 along with copy of said purported letter before the Apex Grievance Redressal Committee, Slum Rehabilitation Authority, Mumbai.  (HS)
