Raipur (thestates.news) | In Chhattisgarh, the Congress has won the elections of the Mayor so far in 3 out of 10 municipal corporations. Ram Charan Yadav of Congress in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation had filed nomination papers alone in the elections held today and BJP did not field candidates. After the time fixed for nomination, the District Election Officer declared Mr. Yadav elected unopposed to the post of Mayor. The BJP, while clarifying that it did not field candidates, said that due to lack of majority of councilors, this decision had to be taken.
