Raipur (thestates.news) | To provide employment opportunities in national-level companies to youth of the state, first ever state-level placement camp is being organized in Chhattisgarh, under the guidance of Chief Minister. State Government is organizing this placement camp in Government Engineering College, Sejbahar, Raipur on October 21, 2019. Nearly 50 reputed national-international companies of the country will be taking part in this placement camp to be held on October 21.
Directorate of Technical Education is organizing this placement camp to provide opportunity of placement in reputed companies to maximum number of students of government engineering schools. Nearly 3370 students are enrolled in three government engineering colleges of the state in Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur. In session 2018-19, 82 students of government engineering college Raipur, 15 of government engineering college Bilaspur and only 13 students of government engineering college Jagdalpur were selected in campus placement.
But this year, in this state-level placement camp to be held in capital city, nearly 600 students will participate. This camp is a golden opportunity for students of mechanical, civil, electrical, mining, electronics, telecommunication, electrical, electronics, computer science, IT branches to get placed in repute state, national and international-level companies.
To ensure 100% placement of students in government engineering and polytechnic institutions this year, Directorate of Technical Education has constituted placement cell in aforemention institutions and has been regularly monitoring its work. In the same sequence, for better organization and conduction of campus placement, training cum workshop was organized on October 11 for placement cell representatives of government engineering colleges. To ensure maximum participating of industrial establishment in the placement camp to be held on October 21, joint meeting of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employement Department and Commerce and Industry Department was held on October 10, wherein representatives of CII, FICCI, NASSCOM, Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce, Chhattisgarh Small Scale Industries Federation and other industrial groups also participated.
