JSPL takes steps to counter the second wave of Covid19

  • Intensive RT-PCR test at Raipur plant
  • Facilities created for Quarantine & Isolation
  • Oxygen, Medicines, Ambulance, Thermometer, Oxy meter, Thermal Scanner, and Sanitizer also arranged
  • Sanitization at major scale throughout the plant and township
  • Employees above the age of 45 are being inspired for vaccination

Raipur, (the states. news) Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), a company headed by well-known industrialist Mr. Naveen Jindal, has taken steps to counter the second wave of Covid19. The company has been carrying out intensive RT-PCR test drives in Raipur Machinery Division and till now more than 350 employees have been screened. Massive arrangements have been done for the people, who tested positive. Quarantine & Isolation facilities have been created and Oxygen, Medicines, Ambulance, Thermometer, Oxy meter, Thermal Scanner, and Sanitizer have also been arranged.  

Mr. Pradeep Tandon, President (Corporate Affairs), JSPL said that all the arrangements have been made to keep the plant running smoothly. All-round efforts are being made under the leadership of Mr. Suryoday Dubey, Head of the Department of Human Resources and Dr. Hidayatullah Khan, Factory Medical Officer. Apart from RT-PCR screening, arrangements have been made for the treatment of sick people. Separate arrangements have been made for their isolation and they are being regularly examined. Thermometers, oxy meters, thermal scanners, and sanitizers have been provided for their early cure. Oxygen has been arranged in particular. Apart from this, the entire plant and township are being sanitized regularly. People who are over 45 years of age are being encouraged to get vaccinated.

Mr. Suryoday Dubey said that an announcement system has also been arranged to educate employees on the pandemic and the cure. They are being inspired for voluntary examination if they feel any symptoms. The awareness campaign is also being conducted regularly in the plant and township and everyone is being motivated for yoga etc. To deal with the emergency, JSPL has also arranged an ambulance so that the patient can be taken to the hospital if the condition worsens.

He said that all the necessary steps are being taken for the prevention of Covid19 as per the guidelines issued by the Central and the State Governments. Since steel is on the essential services list, wearing masks along with thermal scanning and sanitization has been made mandatory to protect employees coming to the office. Everyone is also being instructed to maintain social distance and the gathering has been banned in both workshop and the township. (media saheb.com)
