Meeting of Central Zonal Council of four states begins under chairmanship of Amit Shah

Raipur, (thestates.news)  The 22nd meeting of Central Zonal Council of four states, including Chhattisgarh, got underway here on Tuesday. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, along with Chief Secretaries and senior departmental officers of these states are attending the meeting, which began at a private hotel in Nava Raipuram under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Central Zonal Council has been set up as a high level advisory forum, with the objective of solving inter-state problems and ensuring balanced socio-economic development in member states in coordination with the Central Government. This time it was the turn of Chhattisgarh to host the meeting.
Issues pertaining to law and order, Naxalism and terrorism will prominently be discussed at the meeting.
Member states will present reports on the topics related to the meeting besides raising their difficulties and demands before the Home Minister. The DGs of central forces particularly Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are also present at the meeting.
Soon after this meeting, Mr Shah will visit the Chhattisgarh State BJP headquarters, where he will stay for about two hours. During his visit to state BJP headquarters he will address senior party workers. He is likely to guide the party leaders and workers on future strategy against the Congress government of Chhattisgarh. This is Mr Shah’s first visit to the state after assuming the office of Home Minister following Lok Sabha elections. (UNI)
