State Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur termed the BJP movement as a failure and said that Modi Shah has betrayed the farmers. The BJP is atoning for the enormity of Modi, Shah’s anti-farmer act. Modi BJP had promised to give one and a half times the support price of the cost price and double the income as recommended by the Swaminathan Committee in the Lok Sabha elections, but even after six years, it did not cheat the farmers by making provisions in the budget.
