Raipur (the states. news) Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that Yoga is a simple, affordable and easily accessible way to live a healthy life, by practicing which we can protect ourselves from the dangers of present and future. Chief Minister expressed these views while inaugurating the state-wide virtual Yoga practice and Yoga counseling programme on the occasion of World No-Tobacco Day at his office today. Yoga Commission is organizing this programme with an aim to reduce the effects of COVID-19 on people, who have recovered from the diseases, people in home isolation or quarantine centers, people who have taken the first dose of vaccine, senior citizens and their families, by enhancing their immunity. Free virtual Yoga classes would be commenced from May 31 and would be conducted for a year.

The program was chaired by Social Welfare Minister and Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairperson Smt. Anila Bhendia. On this occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Subrata Sahu, Secretary Social Welfare Department, Smt. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale were present at the Chief Minister’s residence office. Director Social Welfare Mr. P. Dayanand, senior officers of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and Social Welfare Department, citizens from different districts, yoga instructors also joined the program virtually. (mediasaheb.com)
