₹5 lakh assistance sanctioned for paralyzed woman during Chief Minister’s Jandarshan

Raipur (thestates.news) | Financial assistance of ₹5 lakh has been sanctioned to a paralyzed woman under the Mukhyamantri Arthik Sahayata Yojana, following directions issued by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

The approval was granted during the Jandarshan programme held today at Chief Minister’s residence, where Smt. Basanti Sao, a resident of Bade Temri village in the Basna development block of Mahasamund district, sought assistance for her ongoing medical treatment. Chief Minister directed the officials to sanction the amount without any delay.

According to the application, both her legs are paralyzed, and she has undergone treatment at AIIMS Raipur, Mekahara, and a private hospital. Treatment is continuing, with the estimated cost of further treatment at around ₹6.40 lakh, which the family is unable to afford due to financial constraints.

During the interaction, Chief Minister saw the application and instructed concerned officials to ensure prompt assistance. Acting on these directions, the ₹5 lakh assistance was sanctioned. Earlier, financial support of ₹25,000 and ₹50,000 had also been provided to the family under the same scheme. Her husband, Shri Premkumar Sao, said the family received immediate relief after placing their case before the Chief Minister during Jandarshan.
