Raipur ( thestates.news) State Level Youth Festival- The Youth ‘Mahakumbh’ which showcases the culture of Chhattisgarh will be held in Raipur at the Science College Ground. In this festival various events related to Chhattisgarh’s traditional dance, sports , folk-song,painting,quiz ,cuisine and fashion will be held.Running from 12 to 14 January, this festival will be inaugurated by Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike and will be presided over by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. The opening ceremony with commence at 12 noon. Members of the cabinet will also be present along with the Speaker Dr. Charan Das Mahant.
Under the guidance of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Umesh Patel the preparations for the State Level Youth Festival are under full swing at the Science College ground. Today, he took stock of the preparations and gave necessary instructions to the officers. Youth festival competitions will be held at various venues including Science College ground,Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium, Science College Auditorium and Pandit Ravi Shankar University’s auditorium and sports ground.
More than 4000 spectators will be able to enjoy this festival. The Main stage ,with a green room behind it ,has been constructed in a total area of about 18000 sq ft.. A Muktakashi Manch has also been prepared nearby, which will feature Raut Nacha, Bastaria Nach, Bhaura ,Fugdi and folk dance competitions.
