‘Freedom Run’ aims to promote patriotism, unity, and social harmony: Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma
Raipur (thestates.news) The Sports and Youth Welfare Department organized a ‘Freedom Run’ at Pandit Chakrapani School in Baloda Bazar district headquarters this morning. Addressing the gathering, Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Sports, and Youth Welfare Shri Tank Ram Verma highlighted that the main objective of the event was to promote patriotism, social harmony, unity, and integrity. He encouraged all participants by joining the run himself. Following this, he administered an oath to all the participants to hoist the national flag, honor the spirit of freedom fighters, dedicate themselves to the country’s development and progress, and promote peace and harmony within society.
The ‘Freedom Run’ saw participation from over 400 individuals, including local public representatives, journalists, officials, employees, and students from Pandit Chakrapani School, Gurukul, Shashwat and Pandit Laxmi Prasad Tiwari Girls School. To boost the students’ morale, Minister Shri Verma, Collector Shri Deepak Soni, and Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Agrawal also completed a 2 km race. Participants who excelled in various categories were honored with mementos, and all students received free national flags and saplings for plantation.
