CM Vishnu Deo Sai set a unique example of public service and inspiration by washing feet of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Trailblazing leader Shri Sai : Merging humility with decisiveness for progressive change in Chhattisgarh

Raipur (thestates.news) | Renowned for his simplicity and unwavering commitment to public welfare, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai displayed a gesture of humility and dedication – rooted in Indian tradition – by washing feet of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) in the ‘Mor Awas Mor Adhikar’ (My House-My Right) program organized on  Tuesday.
 
The program was organized at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur. Wherein, the Chief Minister felicitated beneficiaries of housing scheme and welcomed them by washing their feet. Shri Sai emphasized that food, clothing and housing are the essential needs of a person but even decades after independence a large number of citizens across the country. Through the PMAY the dream of acquiring homes by homeless is being realized.    

The beneficiaries appreciated Chief Minister’s gesture and said that it was a moment of profound significance and inspiration when Chief Minister Shri Sai sought blessings of beneficiaries including senior citizens by washing the feet in a traditional manner.
 
Chief Minister Shri Sai has become a symbol of trust and service between the public representatives and the general public in Chhattisgarh.

Emphasizing on serving duties with commitment, Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “Our highly efficient public representatives and administrative officials should not consider themselves above the general public but consider themselves as public servant and address their issues with respect from a human point of view and ensure their immediate resolution.”
