Sensex surges 335.06 pts at Muhurat Trading

Mumbai (Thestates.news)|  The BSE Sensex on Friday rallied 335.06 pts at 79,724.12 in a special Muhurat trading session, marking the beginning of the Hindu Calender year (samvat 2081). One hour Special Muhurat trading held between 6 and 7 PM.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange ( NSE) rose 99 pts at 24,304.35. The NSE registered days high and low at 24,368.25 and 24,280.20 Snapping a losing streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex opened today on a strong note, jumping 634 pts at 80,023.75, which remained a day high.
It remained in green in one-hour trading. It registered a days low at 79,655.55, up 266 pts. Finally, it was settled at 79,724.12, rallied 335.06 pts from its previous close. The stocks that shined were Auto by 1.15 pc, Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services by 1.10 pc, Oil and Gas by 0.91 pc, and Realty by 0.90 pc.
The Mid-cap rose 0.69 pc and Small-cap by 1.16 pc. In 30 scrips, 27 advanced while 3 declined.
The gainers were M & M by 3.29 pc to Rs 2817, Adani Ports by 1.26 pc to Rs 1394.05, Tata Motors by 1.14 pc to Rs 843.60, Axis Bank by 0.92 pc to Rs 1169.20 and Nestle India Ltd by 0.87 pc to Rs 2284.
The losers were HCL Technology by 0.55 pc to Rs 1758.20, Tech Mahindra by 0.33 pc to Rs 1603, and ICICI Bank by 0.04 pc to Rs 1291. (UNI)
