State level event to be held on 14th and 15th November at Science College Ground, Raipur
Raipur (thestates.news) |The grand state level program to commemorate birth anniversary and life of Tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda Chhattisgarh government is organizing Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas – Tribal Pride Day at Science College Ground in state capital on November 14 and 15.
In the two-day program, Tribal dance troupe across 17 states including Chhattisgarh will give captivating cultural performances.
In this regard, dance teams have started arriving Chhattisgarh from Tuesday, hence, tribal dance teams from Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan and Sikkim have reached Raipur.
The dancers’ troupe from Arunachal Pradesh will present Adilok dance drama, the dancers’ troupe from Uttarakhand will present Jhinjhi, Holi, Hanna and Diya dance, the dancers’ troupe from Telangana will present Mathuri Janjati dance, the dancers’ troupe from Rajasthan will present Valar Garasia Gair dance and the dancers’ troupe from Sikkim will present Subba folk dance drama.
It is notable that on this two day event, along with the presentation of cultural programs by inter-state folk dance troupes, a seminar will be organized on topics related to tribal pride and a painting exhibition on tribal lifestyle will also be held.
