New Delhi, (Thestates.news) | A Chennai-based homebuyers association has written to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, urging him to take cognizance of the matter, which has caused severe stress and hardship for homebuyers over the years. The association, representing Unitech homeowners, highlighted the severe financial turmoil and mental agony faced by around 13,000 families due to the unresolved status of Unitech projects.
Senior citizens, in particular, have been disproportionately affected, with the delay exacerbating their financial and emotional burden due to their old age. According to the approved resolution plan passed by NCLAT in May this year, Suraksha was expected to resume flat construction within 90 days. However, the association said there are persistent delays.(UNI)
