Mumbai (Thestates.news) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday declined 72.56 pts to settle at 72,029.76 as selling was seen in IT, Technology and Telecommunications stocks amid mixed trend in Asian Market. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 27.40 pts at 22,470.50. Despite volatile market today, the Sensex ended in red at 74,029.76, falling 72.56 pts from its previous close.
Meanwhile, in opening session, it was up 168 pts at 74,270.81. During the day, it was rallied 290 pts at 74,392.15, days high. Later, it was dropped 508 pts at 73,598.16, days low figure. The Nifty registered days high at 22,577.40 and low at 22,329.55 pts.
The stocks that were seen negative for the fourth straight session today include, IT by 3.02 pc followed by Focus. IT by 3.05 pc, Technology by 2.69 pc. The Mid cap fell by 0.57. Pc while small cap fell 0.48 pc.In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined.
The losers were Infosys by 4.18 pc to Rs 1591.25, Tech Mahindra by 2.80 pc to Rs 1437.80, Nestle India Ltd by 2.43 pc to 62196.50 and TCS by 2.01 pc to Rs 3503. The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 4.42 pc to Rs 684.95, Tata Motors by 3.19 pc to Rs 668.50, Kotak Bank by 2.37 pc to Rs 1980.80 and Bajaj Finance by 2.13 pc to Rs 8520.
A mixed trend was seen in Asian Market as Taiwan Weighted was up by 0.93 pc and Strait Times was rose by 0.19 pc. While the losers were Hang Seng was down by 0.77 pc and Set Composite by 2.38 pc. (UNI)
