Raipur (thestates.news), Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today performed the foundation laying ceremony for a semiconductor manufacturing plant by Polymatech Electronics Private Limited—one of the country’s leading semiconductor producers—at Nava Raipur. The company is set to invest Rs 1,143 crore in setting up the state’s first major semiconductor unit, which will span over 1.5 lakh square feet and is projected to manufacture 10 billion chips by 2030. These chips will be used in telecom, 6G/7G technologies, laptops, and power electronics. The establishment of this plant is expected to generate significant employment for local youth.
