Raipur (thestates.news) | To mark World Blood Donor Day 2025, the Blood Centre of JLN Hospital & Research Centre, functioning under the Department of Medical and Health Services of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant, organised a two-day programme aimed at raising awareness on the importance of voluntary blood donation and enhancing clinical knowledge on modern transfusion practices. The two-day event was organised under the patronage of Dr M Ravindranath, ED (Medical and Health Services), with key support from respective CMOs.
A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled Blood Transfusion Update was organised on 14th June 2025, under the theme “Give blood, give hope: together we save lives”, underscoring the life-saving impact of timely blood donation.
The half-day CME was inaugurated by Dr. P.K. Patra, Vice Chancellor (Ayush University of Chhattisgarh), in the presence of Dr M Ravindranath, ED (M & HS), Dr Kaushlendra Thakur, Dr Vineeta Dwivedi, Dr Uday Kumar, and Dr Sourav Mukherjee, CMOs (M&HS), and Shri. SM Shahid Ahmad, GM (M&S-Medical). The Valedictory Function of the CME was presided over by Shri. AK Chakraborty, ED (MM). (S-PIB)
