Bihar to set up youth commission: Nitish Kumar

Patna,(thestates.news)|Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced formation of Bihar Youth Commission for providing employment opportunities and skill development for the youth of the state. The Chief Minister said on his social media account (X) the government has approved the formation of the Bihar Youth Commission, which will recommend and provide inputs to the government on key issues concerning the development and welfare of the youth. The commission will also coordinate with various government departments to ensure better education and employment prospects for the youth.

Kumar said the commission will consist of one chairperson, two vice-chairpersons, and seven members, with an upper age limit of 45 years. The commission will monitor private sector employment opportunities within Bihar and protect the interests of students studying outside the state. Special programmes will also be prepared to keep the youth away from social evils. He emphasised that the primary goal of the youth commission is to make Bihar’s youth skilled, employment-ready, and self-reliant. (S-UNI)
