The festival of independence was celebrated with great joy
17 platoons performed an attractive march past in the parade, excellent teams got awards
Raipur (thestates.news) | The Independence Day celebrations were held with great joy and dignity at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai hoisted the flag at 9 am and took the salute of the parade. The Chief Minister also read out his message to the people of the state.
In the ceremony, 17 platoons mesmerized the audience by performing a grand march past. This march past was led by Indian Police Service officer Shri Ishu Agarwal. This time the police contingent of the state of Orissa participated in the parade in the invited category. The 2IC of the parade was Shri Siddharth Singh Chauhan. The parade included BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (men-women), Chhattisgarh Police, Jail Police, City Army (men-women), NCC (boys-girls), Band Platoon, Mounted Contingent and Women Bagpiper Band.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai felicitated the best contingents in the Independence Day parade. In the Central Forces category, the contingent of Border Security Force got the first position. Central Reserve Police Force got the second position and Odisha Police got the third position. In the State Forces category, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (men) got the first position. Chhattisgarh Armed Police Force (women) got the second position and City Army Women’s Contingent got the third position. In the NCC Junior category, the first prize was received by the Boys Contingent and the second prize was received by the Girls Contingent.
