Raipur (thestates.news) |Manendragarh has received a significant infrastructural boost following the initiative of its local MLA and Health Minister, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal. The Water Resources Department has granted administrative approval of ₹10 crore 4 lakh for the construction of the Paradol Anicut on the Hasdeo River.
The project is expected to benefit approximately 80 hectares of land in the Manendragarh region, providing essential facilities such as drinking water, water for daily use, groundwater augmentation, and irrigation support for farmers through self-operated systems. This development is poised to offer major relief to local farmers and promote efficient utilisation of water resources.
Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for approving this project. Residents of Manendragarh have also conveyed their appreciation to the MLA and Cabinet Minister Shri Jaiswal for securing this crucial sanction.
Following the approval, the Health Minister noted that the anicut will usher in a new direction for development in the region by enhancing irrigation facilities, improving groundwater levels, and ensuring better access to drinking and utility water. He emphasised that the project will have a positive impact on the lives and livelihoods of the local population.
