Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid heartfelt tributes to National Poet Shri Maithilisharan Gupt on his death anniversary, which is observed on December 12.
Chief Minister said Shri Gupt not only elevated ‘khari boli’ to the stature of a dignified poetic language but also turned it into a powerful medium of national consciousness. He added that during the challenging phase of the freedom movement, Shri Gupt’s writings instilled patriotism, self-respect and social awakening, helping unify public sentiment across the country. Works such as his iconic ‘Bharat-Bharati’ continue to enrich national thought and cultural values, he said, adding that these remarkable contributions earned Shri Gupt the revered title of “Rashtrakavi.”
Chief Minister described Shri Gupt’s literature as a living record of India’s social values, collective sentiments and national ideals. He said the poet’s writings will continue to inspire and guide future generations.
