Raipur (thestates.news)| As part of the ongoing Safety Awareness Month, the Safety Engineering Department of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) organized the ‘Annual Safety Drawing and Painting Competition–2026’, at Suniti Udyan, Sector-8. The event was graced by Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director (Works), as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Mr. D. Satpaththi, Chief General Manager (Safety and Fire Services). The occasion saw the presence of General Manager In-charge Mr. S.K. The competition has established itself as a flagship initiative of Bhilai Steel Plant, aiming to instill safety consciousness within the community. This year’s event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 1,200 individuals, including school students from Nursery to Class 12, children with special needs, and parents. To encourage original thinking and spontaneous creativity, the themes—ranging from general safety and fire prevention to road, rail, and industrial safety—were announced on the spot. While drawing sheets were provided by the department, participants brought their own colors to bring their visions of a “Safe India” to life.(S-PIB)
