Raipur (thestates.news) |Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has extended his heartfelt greetings to people of the state on the occasion of National Tourism Day, observed on January 25. In his message, he said that tourism is not only a vital pillar of the national and state economy, but also a powerful medium for giving global recognition to India’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and historical legacy.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that tourism provides people with an opportunity to experience local culture, geographical diversity, natural splendour, and unique historical sites. At the same time, this sector plays a significant role in economic empowerment by creating new avenues of employment and livelihood for thousands of families.
Shri Sai said that the objective of National Tourism Day is to highlight the importance of the tourism industry and to enhance public awareness about it, so that sustainable economic benefits can be derived for both the nation and the state through tourism. India is renowned across the world for its diversity, traditions, and cultural grandeur. Every region of the country has its own distinct identity and glorious background, which can be effectively showcased to national and international audiences through tourism.
Calling upon the people of the state, the Chief Minister urged them to actively participate in the conservation and promotion of Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and tourist destinations, and to contribute to the state’s development by promoting tourism.
