Fund Transfer Orders (FTOs) have been generated for 26,439 houses, and the first instalment has been successfully transferred to the bank accounts of 24,313 beneficiaries. Construction has commenced on 20,480 houses, and 15,120 houses have already reached the plinth level, reflecting steady progress on the ground. With this achievement, the district has recorded the highest performance among all districts in the state.  A total of 139 houses have already been completed, reflecting administrative efficiency and strong participation from rural residents.

Under the PM Janman Yojana, the district has also prioritised implementation, sanctioning houses for 25 eligible beneficiaries and achieving 100 percent completion. The district has also earned the second national-level award for water conservation, with PMAY-G beneficiaries making a significant contribution. As part of the housing scheme, 15,260 rainwater harvesting structures have been constructed in completed houses.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), launched by the Central government, aims to provide permanent housing to homeless families in rural areas. Under the scheme, financial assistance is extended to households living in kutcha houses or without adequate shelter, enabling the construction of pucca homes equipped with basic amenities.

Under the guidance of the District Collector and the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Balodabazar–Bhatapara has not only expedited administrative approvals but has also set benchmarks by ensuring timely initiation of construction at the village level. The district’s consistent performance under PMAY-G highlights effective coordination between the administration and beneficiaries, translating policy objectives into tangible outcomes for rural households.
