Four Rewarded Maoist Cadres Surrender in Bastar Amid Ongoing Anti-Naxal Drive

Security Forces’ Coordinated Operations, Strong Camp Network and Improved Connectivity Weakening Maoist Influence: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur (thestates.news)The surrender of four active Maoist cadres carrying a reward of ₹8 lakh in the Kistaram area marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to make Bastar free from Left-wing extremism. The development reflects growing public confidence and an improving environment of security and development in the region.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the resolve of “Naxal-free Bastar, safe Chhattisgarh” is now visibly taking shape on the ground. He described the surrender as clear evidence of changing realities in areas that were once regarded as strongholds of Maoist influence.

Chief Minister said this shift is the direct outcome of coordinated and sustained operations by security forces, a strengthened network of security camps, effective area domination, and improved road and communication connectivity. These measures, he said, have steadily reduced the operational space of Maoist groups and weakened their support base.

Emphasizing the state government’s policy, Shri Sai said those who abandon violence and choose to return to the mainstream will be provided opportunity, security, and a life of dignity. He added that the journey towards peace, trust, and development in Bastar will continue with full commitment in the days ahead.
