MSME, Manufacturing, and Digital Industries in Chhattisgarh to Receive a Boost

New Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities to be Created for Local Youth

Raipur (thestates.news) |Commerce, Industry, Public Enterprises and Labour Minister Mr. Lakhan Lal Dewangan, while reacting to the Union Budget 2026-27, said that this budget will prove to be a game-changer for the industrial, agricultural, and rural development of Chhattisgarh. He said that in line with the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), the provision of Rs. 2,000 crore for the revival of industrial clusters will empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the state, creating new employment opportunities for local youth.

Mr. Dewangan said that the provision of Rs. 10,000 crore for the MSME and biopharma sectors and Rs. 40,000 crore for the semiconductor industry in the budget will boost industrial investment in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the establishment of mining-based industrial corridors, textile and chemical parks in various states of the country, including Chhattisgarh, will strengthen the state’s manufacturing sector.

Minister Dewangan said that reforms in the banking sector, economic loan guarantees, and simplification of tax procedures will provide easy access to capital for entrepreneurs, traders, and startups in the state, creating an industry-friendly environment. The provision to increase production in key sectors, including sports goods, to encourage manufacturing will directly benefit local units.

Minister Dewangan said that the budget lays special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and the content economy. The establishment of content creator labs for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) will open up new employment and self-employment opportunities for the digital industry, startups, and youth. Meanwhile, the provision of Rs. 12.2 lakh crore for better internet and digital networks will strengthen industrial and commercial activities. He said that this budget will also empower Chhattisgarh’s agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries-based economy. The entrepreneurial spirit of small farmers, private sector participation in livestock development, expansion of veterinary services, and the construction of 500 Amrit Sarovars (water reservoirs) will create new income and employment opportunities in rural areas.

Mr. Dewangan said that the provisions made for connecting women’s self-help groups to the market, promoting handlooms and handicrafts, and developing religious and cultural sites will boost the state’s socio-economic progress. Overall, this budget will strengthen the goal of a developed Chhattisgarh alongside a developed India through industrial expansion, job creation, and overall development.
