Raipur (thestates.news) | The Horticulture Section of the Town Services Department of Bhilai Steel Plant, under Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), will organise “Flower Show 2026” at Maitri Bagh on Sunday i e 8 February 2026. The programme will be inaugurated by Director-in-Charge, Bhilai Steel Plant, Shri Chitt Ranjan Mahapatra.
The flower show will feature a wide range of competitions involving residential house gardens, school gardens, potted plants, cut flowers, floral decorations, models made from fruits and vegetables, rangoli, garland and bouquet making, with participation from both Bhilai Steel Plant and non-Bhilai Steel Plant areas. Special awards including ‘King of the Show’ and ‘Queen of the Show’ will be presented to outstanding entries.
Cultural programmes by schoolchildren and local artists will also be held during the event. The Town Services Department has appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers and make the flower show a success.(s-pib)
