SAIL–Bhilai Steel Plant Conducts DPMS Training to Strengthen Real-Time Project Monitoring

Raipur (thestates.news) | In a significant step towards strengthening digital project governance and real-time monitoring, the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)–Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) organised a one-day training programme on the Digital Project Management Solution (DPMS) at the Bhilai Management Development Centre (BMDC), Sector-7. The programme witnessed participation from 25 officials representing various departments of the plant.

The training programme provided a comprehensive overview of the role of indenting departments, commonly referred to as Shops, across the entire project lifecycle. Detailed sessions covered stages from initiation of the Investment Proposal (IPU), obtaining Stage-I and Stage-II approvals, award of contracts, execution and commissioning, to final project closure. Participants were also familiarised with key functionalities of the DPMS platform, including registration procedures, directory creation, consultant assignment, IPU creation and overall system navigation. The integration of DPMS with the mJunction Project system (mJPro), along with approval workflows, was explained in detail. (s-pib)
