Secures first position in Class 10 CBSE Board Examination
100% result in 11 Eklavya Schools operated in the state

Raipur (thestates.news) | Kanker’s meritorious student Kritika Tekam topped the CBSE Class 10 Board Examination by scoring 97% among nearly 750 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country, bringing pride to Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated her, calling the achievement a reflection of both her talent and the state’s efforts to strengthen quality education for tribal students, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to academic excellence.
Shri Sai added that Eklavya Model Residential Schools are providing better opportunities to talented students of the state, enabling them to establish their identity at the national level. Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to all successful students and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to promoting excellence in education.
Tribal Welfare Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam congratulated Kritika Tekam for topping among Eklavya Model Residential Schools in the CBSE Class 10 examination, calling it a testament to the talent and hard work of tribal students. He said these schools are providing quality education and support, enabling students to excel nationally, and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to their overall development.
It is noteworthy that the CBSE recently declared the Class 10 Board Examination results for the academic session 2025–26, in which Kritika Tekam from Chhattisgarh secured the top position among Eklavya schools nationwide.
Appreciating the success and efforts of Eklavya School and student, Tribal Welfare Department’s Principal Secretary Shri Sonmani Borah informed that class 10th student Kritika Tekam, has brought laurel and pride to the state and the department. The students performed well overall, with several schools achieving strong results, including 11 recording a 100% pass rate.
It is noteworthy that in all 75 Eklavya Model Residential Schools operating in the state, special emphasis is given not only to providing high-quality education to Scheduled Tribe students but also to their mental and physical well-being. As a result, in the fourth National Sports Competition of Eklavya Schools held during the academic session 2025–26, the Chhattisgarh team secured second place at the national level with an excellent performance.
Highlighting a recent achievement of Chhattisgarh’s Eklavya School of Kosmabuda (Gariaband), Commissioner Shri Saransh Mittar informed that Eklavya Model Residential School, was declared the national winner in the Model Youth Gram Sabha Competition by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj among 800 schools and awarded Rs 1 crore, with students honoured on January 28, 2026.
