CM Shri Sai inaugurates Gondwana Bhavan in Gariaband, announces Rs 63 lakh for tribal cultural hub

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday inaugurated the Kachna Dhurwa Gondwana Bhavan, built at a cost of Rs 1.07 crore in Darrapara village of Gariaband district, and announced Rs 63 lakh for the development of the complex, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to preserving tribal heritage while accelerating development.

Addressing a gathering organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Gondwana Gond Mahasabha Central Committee, Bindranawagarh, Shri Sai said the government is creating new avenues of development while safeguarding the traditions, culture and identity of tribal communities. He described the Bhavan as a key centre for social, cultural, educational and community activities that would help connect younger generations with their roots.

The announcement of fund of Rs 63 lakh will include development works of Rs 27 lakh for a boundary wall, Rs 20 lakh for a library, Rs 6 lakh for the installation of a statue of Lord Kachna Dhurwa and Rs 10 lakh for beautification of the Bhavan premises.

During the occasion, Chief Minister offered prayers at the Tribal shrine Devthana and planted a ‘Peepal’ sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Chief Minister said the government, elected with the blessings of the people, is continuously working in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees.

Shri Sai said areas once affected by Left-wing extremism, including Gariaband and Bastar, are now witnessing peace and development. He cited the Niyad Nellanar Yojana for extending roads, education, healthcare and drinking water facilities to remote villages. He also noted that more than 42,000 devotees had visited Ayodhya under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
