Raipur (thestates.news) Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal today chaired a meeting regarding implementation of the ambitious scheme of Chhattisgarh Government Godhan Nyay Yojana, at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) today. In the meetings, outline of the scheme, implementation strategy and funds-expenses were discussed in detail. The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary Finance Department Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary of Chief Minister and Principal Chief Conservator od Forest Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi.
Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal said that State Government’s Godhan Nyay Yojana is a one of a kind innovative scheme. He told that the scheme would be inaugurated on the occasion of Hareli festival. He said that the objective of the scheme is to promot organic fertilizers and to conserve ‘Godhan’. Under this scheme, cowdung will be procured from livestock owners. Chief Secretary has directed the officials of agriculture, animal husbandry, rural development, forest and other departments concerned to work in coordination for successfull implementation o the scheme. He gave insructions to District Collectors, CEOs of Jila Panchayats, Forest Division officers, urban administration officials, Deputy Director Agriculture and Animal Husbandry to work with team spirit.
In the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding role of gauthan committees and local self-help groups in collection of cowdung and preparation of vermi-compost and their training. The meeting was attende by Rural Development Department Principal Secretary Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, Forest Department Principal Secretary Mr. Manoj Pingua, Urban Administration Development Department Secretary Ms Alermel Mangai D and other department officials.
