Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Earns National Recognition Among 21 Participating States

Raipur (thestates.news) | Chhattisgarh Tourism has achieved another national milestone by winning the “Best Decoration of Stall and Appearance” award at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Kolkata 2026. The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board received the honour for its creative and impactful pavilion among 21 participating states, reflecting the successful presentation of the state’s rich tribal heritage, cultural attractions, natural destinations and modern tourism vision.

Held from July 10 to 12 at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata, the three-day tourism fair saw the Chhattisgarh pavilion emerge as a major attraction for visitors, tour operators, tourism professionals and investors. The pavilion showcased Bastar’s tribal culture, Chitrakote and Tirathgarh waterfalls, Kanger Valley National Park, Sirpur, Bhoramdeo, religious and eco-tourism destinations, tourism resorts and the state’s diverse tourism circuits through modern presentations.

Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Shri Neelu Sharma, Tourism Secretary Shri S. Bharathidasan and Managing Director Shri Vivek Acharya participated in several B2B meetings with national and international tour operators, travel agencies, hotel groups and investors. Discussions focused on tourism investment, joint tourism packages, marketing partnerships, expansion into new tourism markets, increasing tourist arrivals, and creating new opportunities for collaboration and investment.

Nearly 28 registered tour operators, hotel operators, homestay operators and tourism entrepreneurs from Chhattisgarh and other states also participated in the event, providing an effective platform to showcase the state’s tourism products and build new business partnerships.

During the inaugural session, Goa Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, West Bengal Tourism Minister Dr Shankar Ghosh and Consul General of Thailand Ms Siriporn Tantipanyathep visited the Chhattisgarh pavilion and appreciated the state’s natural beauty, tribal culture, religious heritage and tourism potential.

Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Shri Neelu Sharma said the award reflects the state’s growing tourism profile under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal. Tourism Secretary Shri S. Bharathidasan said sustained promotion at national and international platforms will boost tourism, investment and employment, while Managing Director Shri Vivek Acharya described the recognition as a result of the collective efforts of all tourism stakeholders and a major step towards establishing Chhattisgarh as a leading tourism destination.
