Rural Students to Receive Hands-on Training in AI, Robotics and Emerging Technologies

CM Vishnu Deo Sai Flags Off ‘Bhavana Didi Ki Science Pathshala’; Mobile Tech Lab to Reach Over 5,000 Students in First Year

Raipur (thestates.news) | In a major step towards taking future-ready education to rural Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Raman Singh today flagged off the free Mobile Emerging Technology Lab under ‘Bhavana Didi Ki Science Pathshala’ from the State Assembly premises.

The state-of-the-art mobile lab will travel to schools across the Pandariya Assembly constituency, providing practical training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Drones, 3D Printing, Coding, Internet of Things (IoT), Aeromodelling, and Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR).

Calling the initiative a significant step towards building a developed Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said rural students must have equal access to modern science and technology. He said the mobile lab would foster scientific temper, innovation, confidence and technical skills, while ensuring that children from villages receive opportunities comparable to those available in urban areas. The initiative, he added, is in line with the National Education Policy’s focus on skills, innovation, experimentation and creative learning.

Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh said the programme would bridge the technology gap between rural and urban students by offering experiential learning beyond classrooms. He noted that students would gain hands-on experience in flying drones, operating robots, creating 3D models and working with advanced technologies, helping nurture future scientists, engineers and technology professionals. He also appreciated Pandariya MLA Smt Bhavana Bohra for spearheading the initiative.

The Chief Minister and the Assembly Speaker also visited the Mobile Emerging Technology Lab and reviewed its equipment, training modules and teaching methodology. Shri Sai described the lab as an inspiring initiative to technologically empower rural talent and emphasised that practical, experiment-based learning strengthens both curiosity and confidence among students.

The mobile lab will conduct three to five-day workshops in Government schools and Saraswati Shishu Mandirs across the Pandariya Assembly constituency. A team of five experienced trainers will provide practical instruction in AI, Robotics, Drones, Aeromodelling, 3D Printing, Coding, IoT and AR/VR. Students completing the programme will receive certificates.

The initiative aims to provide hands-on technology education to more than 5,000 students in its first year, with priority being given to students of Classes X, XI and XII in the initial phase before expanding to other classes.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Smt Bhavana Bohra, MLA Shri Sushant Shukla, MLA Shri Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation Ms Mona Sen, other public representatives and a large number of students attended the programme.
