Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Textile Minister Shri Giriraj Singh in New Delhi today and held detailed discussions regarding the expansion of the textile industry, investment opportunities, and employment prospects in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister of the special incentives offered to the textile sector under the state’s new industrial development policy and the investments currently flowing into this sector. The two leaders also discussed developing Chhattisgarh into a major textile and apparel manufacturing hub for Central India and integrating modern technology, design, and innovation with the state’s traditional textile craftsmanship.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that there is immense potential for the development of the textile sector in Chhattisgarh. The state government has designated the textile sector as a ‘thrust sector’ in the Industrial Development Policy 2024-30. Under this policy, attractive incentives and subsidies have been provisioned for entrepreneurs investing in this sector. These measures have led to a rapid rise in investor interest in the textile sector and have paved the way for the establishment of new units in the state.
