Raipur (thestates.news) | Amid the festive spirit of Teeja Tihar, Bahatarai Stadium in Bilaspur today came alive with the colours of Chhattisgarhi culture and tradition, as Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai joined women celebrating the festival and extended his greetings. He prayed to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of women across Chhattisgarh.
Addressing the grand Teeja Milan ceremony at Bahatarai Stadium today, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Teeja is a sacred festival rooted in Chhattisgarh’s rich folk culture. It embodies the love and faith of women, along with their prayers for the well-being of their families. The festival holds a special place in the State’s cultural traditions, including the long-standing practice of married daughters returning to their maternal homes to celebrate with their families. Such festivals keep traditions alive while strengthening bonds of affection within families and society.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, MLAs Shri Amar Agrawal, Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, Shri Sushant Shukla and Smt. Bhavana Bohra, along with other public representatives and a large number of women, attended the ceremony.
