MIT-ADT University Celebrates Major Milestone, Certifying Over 10,000 Students in Partnership with Cambridge University, UK
PUNE, (thestates.news) | MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT-ADT) University successfully hosted the Cambridge Linguaskill Certificate Distribution Ceremony and the Official Release of its 4-Year Research Case Study by the University of Cambridge, UK. The landmark event celebrated an extraordinary institutional achievement: training and certifying over 10,000 first-year students in English language proficiency over the past four academic years through its authorized Cambridge Centre (IA679), under the able leadership of Prof. Dr. Mangesh T. Karad, Pro-Chancellor and Executive President of MIT-ADT University.
The ceremony was graced by prominent international and academic leadership. Mr. Ian Cawley, Product Manager from Cambridge University, UK, attended as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Rajesh S.. The blessings of Founder President Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad anchored the proceedings, alongside the august presence of university leaders including Provost Prof. Dr. Sayalee Gankar, and Cambridge University South Asia Head Dr. Sangeeta Mehta.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of student achievers from the previous academic year. Out of 3,461 students who appeared for the Linguaskill assessment, 378 students attained prestigious C1 and C2 proficiency levels, demonstrating elite global communication standards.
Coinciding with the certificate distribution, the University of Cambridge, UK officially released its comprehensive impact case study on MIT ADT University, titled “Reinforcing Communication Skills for Employability through Cambridge English Assessments”. Spearheaded by Dr. Atul Patil, Centre Exams Manager, Cambridge Centre and Director, School of Holistic Development, the case study documents how the university’s mandatory, structured language intervention has systematically enhanced graduate employability, bridging the gap between local education and global corporate demands in alignment with India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020). The event was graced by other delegates including Prof. Dr. Dnyandeo Neelwarna, Controller of Examinations; Prof. Padmakar Phad, Director: Sports; Prof. Dr. Abhay Harsulkar, Dean: Research; Prof. Dr. Priya Singh; Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr. Rekha Sugandhi, Director: International Relations; Prof. Dr. Shalini Garg; School of Computing and other faculty members, staff and parents.
Speaking at the event, university leadership emphasized that integrating world-class assessment benchmarks into core curricula equips students with the confidence, clarity, and adaptability required to excel in international professional environments. Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad and Prof. Dr. Rajesh S. congratulated everyone on the publication of the Impact Study on MIT ADT University, published by the University of Cambridge, UK and also appreciated the student achievers for their achievements of attaining proficiency levels of C1 and C2 (CEFR).
