State Honoured Nationally for Outstanding Resolution of Portability Claims under Ayushman Bharat
Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda Presents Prestigious Recognition for Timely and Effective Claim Settlement
Raipur (thestates.news) | Chhattisgarh has achieved a significant national milestone for the effective implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and its efforts to strengthen health security for beneficiaries. The State has received a prestigious national recognition for its outstanding performance in the timely and effective resolution of portability claims under the scheme.
The award was presented at “Arogya Manthan 2026”, organised today at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, by the National Health Authority (NHA) to mark eight years of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and five years of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda honoured Chhattisgarh for its exemplary performance in resolving portability claims. The award was received on behalf of the State by Dr. Dharmendra Gahwai, State Nodal Officer for the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Congratulating the entire Health Department team on the achievement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh Government is committed to ensuring that no eligible citizen is deprived of treatment due to financial hardship. The objective is to provide families with both access to treatment and financial security during times of illness and the Ayushman Bharat scheme is being implemented effectively in the State towards this goal, he said.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ayushman Bharat has provided a strong health security assurance to crores of needy families across the country. In Chhattisgarh too, health services and administrative mechanisms are being continuously strengthened to ensure quality treatment for eligible families through the scheme.
