Mumbai, (the states. news) The BSE Sensex on
Tuesday rallied by 149 pts reaching 38,948.46 during opening trade as buying
was seen in Bankex, Health Care and in Metal stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 47 pts to reach 11,513.10.
The Sensex registered an intra day high and low at 39,008.89 and 38,698.96 pts
respectively.
The Nifty registered intra day high and low of 11,525.90 and 11,432.75
respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 0.17 per cent and Small Cap by 1.10 per cent.
Out of the 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.
Gainers included Bajaj finance by 2.07 pc to Rs 3563.05, SBI by 1.79 pc to Rs
205, ICICI Bank by 1.50 pc to Rs 385.90, Axis Bank by 1.37 pc to Rs 451.80 and
Maruti Suzuki by 0.88 pc to Rs 7144.35.
The losers included Nestle India by 1.28 pc to Rs 16,323.10, HCL Technologies
by 0.96 pc to Rs 699.10, Powergrid by 0.81 pc to Rs 183.65 and Sun Pharma by
0.71 pc to Rs 529.55.
