Raipur (thestates.news) On the occasion of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s 151st birth anniversary, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel unveiled statue of Bapu at Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhavan premise in Nava Raipur. Chief Minister paid courteous tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Ex-Prime Minister late Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, at his residence office.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel addressed the statue unveiling programme from his residence office, saying that this statue erected in the Mantralaya premise will keep remining us of the ideals, principles, sacrifices of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Bapu’s teaching are showing us the right path.
Chief Minister further said that Bapu is in our hearts. Speaking about the first freedom struggle of 1857, Chief Minister said that Shaheed Gendsingh and Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh had started the freedom movement against British Government in Bastar and Raipur region of Chhattisgarh.
Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi united various streams of freedom struggle for the decisive battle with ‘Satyagrah’ and non-violence. Chief Minister said that Bapu had also visited Chhattisgarh during freedom movement. People of Chhattisgarh are inspired by Bapu. On the occasion of statue unveiling at Mantralaya, Chief Minister quoted Gandhi ji saying that before taking any decision, we should first consider the effects of the decision on the last person of the society.
On the occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Panchayat Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Vinod Verma and Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahu, Secretary Mr. Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi were present at Chief Minister’s residence, while Food Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Chief Secrtary Mr. RP Mandal and other senior officials were present at Mantralaya.
