States. news) The number of novel coronavirus
sufferers spurted by more than one-and-a-half times over the past 24 hours in
Chhattisgarh where a record 4,120 fresh infections were reported following
analysis of 53,157 samples even as four fatalities also occurred – three here
and one in Bilaspur – and 358 individuals recuperated during the period.
Health Department sources said that the active cases number 19,222 and the
positivity rate touched 7.75 per cent. The district-wise break-up of new instances
includes Raipur 1,185; Durg 479; Bilaspur 459; Korba 426; Raigarh 342;
Rajnandgaon 237; Janjgir-Champa 207; Jashpur 162; Surguja 79 and Koriya 67.(uni)
