Raipur (thestates.news) | Kalinga University organized First Step 2022 Induction Program for the newly admitted students of
Science and IT Departments by Dean Student Welfare Department of Kalinga University at its campus on Monday. Students were given a warm welcome at the entrance and porch area of the Kalinga University with beats of Dhol.
During the Induction program showering of flowers and Tilak was performed for the new students at the entrance of the Auditorium of Kalinga University. Lighting of traditional lamps with Goddess Saraswati Vandana took place. Brief information was shared to the students through Power Point Presentation (PPT) about Kalinga University. Introduction of all dignitaries Chairman, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Director General, Registrar, Dean Students Welfare, Dean Academic Affairs of Kalinga University were presented through PPT. Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar, Registrar Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Dean Students Welfare Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Guest Speakers Mr Yogendra Narang, Mrs Sonam Shrivastava and other dignitaries present during the function were welcomed by offering potted plants.
Followed by Introduction of Marketing Team Leaders, Mr Abhishek Sharma Director Admission, Mr Amit Bhattacharya Assistant Director Marketing, Ms Kajal Singh Assistant Director Admission, Ms Sonam Dubey Senior Marketing Manager, Mr Navin Upadhyay Senior Marketing Manager and MsParvinder Shesh International Students Advisor.
A welcome dance was presented by Ms. Anchal Sinha, a student of the University. After the formal inauguration Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar of Kalinga University gave a welcome speech. He informed that Kalinga is among the top universities of central India. A motivational speech was presented by Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar. He emphasized on preparing students for global citizenship through hard work. Director General Dr Byju John also blessed the students with motivational words.
Motivational speech was given by Keynote speaker Mr Yogendra Narang, Director of Arth Group of Companies. He informed students about the importance of value addition. He narrated his success story about starting his career with salary of Rs 1200 and presently his company has turnover of Rs. 100 Crore.
A group dance was presented by Shreya and group from ID Department. Mrs Sonam Shrivastava, Motivational Speaker and winner of Mrs Asia 2022, Mrs Beauty Icon of India 2021 shared her experience with students. She opined that personality development plays very important role in life apart from education, IQ, confidence, etc.
Dr CK Sharma, Dean Science gave information about his department through PPT. A game Pictionary was played by the students. Mr Kapil Kelker, Head of Department of Fashion Designing gave information about his department. A game on tunology was played by the students. Mr Omprakash Dewangan HOD IT gave presentation about his department.
Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Students Welfare proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with National Anthem. The program was organized by the team of Dean Student Welfare. Master of ceremony was Mr Kapil Kelkar and Ms Shreya Dwivedi, welcome team members were Dr Komal Gupta, Dr Preeti Pandey and Ms Priyanka Gupta while cultural events were managed by Lt. Vibha Chandrakar.
Mr Om Prakash Dewangan, Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and IT took care of technical part of the event. Sports officer Dr Sanjeev Kumar Yadav well coordinated the sports events. All Deans, Head of Departments and faculties were present during the programme. Parents of the students also enjoyed the fun filled event and appreciated the efforts made by the Kalinga University for the new students.
After lunch break students took part in outdoor fun games activities like Tug of War and Treasure Hunt. Students enjoyed the games and played with great enthusiasm.
