Chandigarh,(thestates.news)| The health of former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, lodged in Patiala jail, deteriorated on Thursday as he was admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. This is the second time that Sidhu’s health has deteriorated. Earlier, he was also under treatment in PGI.
Sidhu has been lodged in Patiala Jail since May 20, after he surrendered in the Patiala Court after getting a one-year sentence from the Supreme Court in a 34-year-old road rage case. Sidhu is already suffering from some ailments. Recently, when Sidhu’s health deteriorated inside the jail, he was admitted to the PGI for treatment. After this, the doctors approved a separate diet plan for Sidhu. At present, food is being given to Sidhu only on the advice of doctors. Despite this, on Thursday, Sidhu’s health deteriorated again and he was admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. According to doctors, Sidhu’s BP was not stable and he was suffered chest pain.(HS)
