New Delhi,(thestates.news) : Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal of doing politics of ‘propaganda’ instead of ‘development’. Shah said that he feels that press interviews will bring development and people can be misled by publishing advertisements. You want to make Delhi ‘Aapnirbhar’ whereas we want to make Delhi ‘Aatmanirbhar’.
Shah on Thursday inaugurated the ‘Waste to Energy plant of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in Tughlaqabad. This multi-functional, multi-purpose plant will handle about two thousand metric tonnes of waste per day. Along with this, 25 MW of green energy will be produced by this plant. He said, “The people of Delhi have to decide whether they like the politics of advertising or the politics of development. People should also decide whether they like the politics of prachar or the politics of change.
During this, Shah accused the Kejriwal government of not paying the dues of ₹40,000 crore of Delhi Municipal Corporation. He said that three municipal corporations had to be integrated because the Kejriwal government did not give the dues to the municipal corporations and treating them as second class.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena said that from June to September 2022, i.e. within 4 months, about 26 lakh metric tonnes of waste has been disposed of at the landfill sites. He said that soon after taking over as the Lieutenant Governor, he decided to eliminate the waste from the national capital within the next 18 months. Work has been started in this direction. Delhi State BJP President Adesh Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and MP Ramesh Bidhuri were also present in the program.(HS)
