| A day after ‘Amazon doing no favour’ jibe, Union Commerce and Industry
Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said investments were welcome but within the
legal purview.
‘We welcome all kinds of investments that follow the letter and spirit of law.
If some investment is outside the legal purview, appropriate action will be
taken,’ Mr Goyal said in his tweet.
Some people tried to imply that he said something negative about Amazon, but
‘if you look at the context of the statement’, Mr Goyal maintained that he has
said that investment should come within law and regulations. (UNI)
