Mahtari Sadan will help in making women self-reliant – Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma
Rs 49 crore 80 lakh released for 166 Mahtari Sadan
So far 368 Mahtari Sadan approved, more than 50 Mahtari Sadan completed
Raipur (thestates.news) | As per the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, the construction work of Mahtari Sadan is to be done in every Gram Panchayat of the state with the aim of making rural women self-reliant and self-sufficient and establishing mutual harmony, collective participation in common programs and women empowerment. With the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, approval order has been issued for 166 Mahtari Sadan, for which approval of Rs 49 crore 80 lakh has been issued. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma said that the participation of women is constantly increasing in the growth cycle of New India.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai is linking the capabilities of women with the development of the country. The Mahtari Sadan to be built in the gram panchayats of the state is also an effort in this direction. He said that during continuous village visits, women complained about the lack of a place to sit and demanded a place to sit, so the idea of building Mahtari Sadan came up. Thereafter, the state government is going to build Mahtari Sadan in villages to provide employment to women and to provide them a place to work.
So far, approval for 368 Mahtari Sadan has been issued to fulfill this objective. From the point of view of uniformity in work, a standard design and estimate of the work has been prepared by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. The cost of each Mahtari Sadan will be Rs 30 lakh. Plan to build Mahtari Sadan in all Gram Panchayats in 5 years
Mahtari Sadan will be built in all the Gram Panchayats of the state. The construction of Mahtari Sadan has started. In the first phase, Mahtari Sadan is being started in every development block of the state and in 5 years Mahtari Sadan will be built in all the Gram Panchayats. The Mahtari Sadan to be built in the state will be constructed in about 25 hundred square feet. The Sadan will have facilities like room, toilet, veranda, hall, kitchen and storeroom.
Water harvesting will also be done along with tube well for water. Boundary walls will also be built in it for the safety of women. Community toilets will also be constructed in Mahtari Sadan.
