Average Rainfall of 934.9 mm recorded in Chhattisgarh so far

Raipur (thestates.news) | According to the information compiled by the State-Level Control Room, established by Chhattisgarh Government’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Chhattisgarh has recorded an average rainfall of 934.9 mm from 1 June 2024 to date. Among the various districts, Bijapur district has recorded the highest average rainfall of 1988.6 mm, while Bemetara district has recorded the lowest at 501.2 mm during this period.

As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the rainfall recorded from 1 June to the morning of 5 September in various districts is as follows Surguja district 515.6 mm,  Surajpur 923.0 mm, Balrampur 1336.9 mm, Jashpur 796.6 mm, Koriya at 936.2 mm, and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur 936.8 mm.

Similarly, Raipur district recorded 752.6 mm, Balodabazar recorded 951.3 mm, Gariaband recorded 903.4 mm, Mahasamund recorded 728.0 mm, Dhamtari recorded 810.1 mm, Bilaspur recorded 847.5 mm, Mungeli recorded 957.0 mm, Raigarh recorded 893.5 mm, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh recorded 540.5 mm, Janjgir-Champa recorded 1002.7 mm, Sakti recorded 858.2 mm, Korba recorded 1228.4 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi recorded 984.0 mm, Durg recorded 548.4 mm.

In other districts, Kabirdham recorded an average rainfall of 748.2 mm, Rajnandgaon 897.3 mm, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki 1022.8 mm, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai 653.6 mm, Balod 948.4 mm, Bastar 1012.9 mm, Kondagaon 899.7 mm, Kanker 1103.4 mm, Narayanpur 1050.0 mm, Dantewada 1227.2 mm, and Sukma district has recorded 1348.8 mm of average rainfall from 1 June to date.
