Raipur (thestates.news) | Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the grand musical Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav organised at Saliyatoli in Kunkuri, Jashpur district, on April 6. His wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the ideal life and character of Bhagwan Shri Ram and urged people to imbibe his values in their daily lives.
Paying respectful obeisance to the revered saint Shri Chinmayanand Bapuji seated on the Vyas Peeth, the Chief Minister said that the sacred land of Kunkuri has been truly blessed. He noted that the Saliyatoli stadium has transformed into a divine abode of Bhagwan Shri Ram through the spiritual narration, with the entire atmosphere resonating with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”.
He emphasised that Bhagwan Shri Ram shares a profound connection with Chhattisgarh. The state is the holy land of Mata Kaushalya and is considered the maternal home of Bhagwan Shri Ram, where he is worshipped in every household as a beloved nephew. He further stated that Bhagwan Shri Ram spent a significant part of his 14-year exile in the Dandakaranya region and the forests of Chhattisgarh, making his presence felt throughout this soil. Sacred sites such as Sita Rasoi continue to stand as living testimonies of this rich “spiritual and cultural heritage.”
The Chief Minister said it is a matter of great fortune that people are witnessing an era when Bhagwan Shri Ram has been re-established in Ayodhya. He added that the consecration of Shri Ram Lala has brought pride to India on the global stage, made possible through the firm resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
