Raipur, (thestates.news) A delegation of Chhattisgarh state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday submitted a memorandum to Governor demanding complete liquor ban and outstanding bonus for procurement of paddy on support price to the farmers.
The delegation comprising BJP national vice president and former chief minister of Chhattisgarh Dr Raman Singh, national general secretary Ms Saroj Pandey, state BJP president Vikram Usendi, opposition leader in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dharam Koushik, former ministers Brijmohan Agrawal and Ajay Chandrakar met the Governor Ms Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan here today and handed over memorandum of demand to her.
In their memorandum, the BJP leaders demanded a clear policy to bring back the stranded labourers outside the state and provide Rs 1000 as interim relief to each of them besides providing difference amount of the price of paddy procured on support price to the farmers.uni
