Raipur (thestates.news) | SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Department of Sports, Cultural and Civic Amenities (SC&CA) is set to organise the annual Inter-Departmental Singing Competition 2025 from June 24 to 28, 2025. The event will be held at Mahatma Gandhi Kala Mandir, Civic Centre.
The competition is open to BSP employees and their spouses, and will feature contests in three main categories: Hindi (Men and Women), Non-Hindi (Men and Women), and Duet Singing. Participants are allowed to compete in a maximum of two out of these five sub-categories.
The Hindi and non-Hindi categories will be held separately. The Non-Hindi category allows performances in any language other than Hindi, such as Chhattisgarhi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Rajasthani, and others. A minimum of six participants per category is mandatory for the competition to be held in that particular category.
In the Duet category, only husband-wife pairs are eligible to participate, with the condition that at least one member of the duo must be a BSP employee. Accompanists for participants will be arranged by the organisers.
Notably, past winners who have secured the first position in any particular category in previous editions will not be eligible to compete again in the same category this year.
Entry forms and rulebooks are available at the Office of the Department of Sports, Cultural and Civic Amenities, located at the Handball Academy, Sector-4, during office hours. The last date for submission of entries is June 21, 2025.
